Some states, such as Wisconsin and New York, have been proactive by stepping up to the plate and making rulings regarding the guidelines that law enforcement agencies must adhere to when placing a car tracking system upon an individual’s automobile, but many other states’ high courts have not made a decision on the proper and responsible use of GPS trackers.
